At DesignScapes of Virginia our primary focus is to create outstanding residential landscaping designs.  Our goal is to create a design that inspires harmony between the existing setting and the new landscaping using natural, complimentary materials. The designs are influenced by Garen's graphic arts training by using plant massings consisting of a variety of heights, colors and textures, along with natural elements such as boulders and stone aggregates. We enjoy working with natural stone and low maintenance plants that create a variety of visual interest throughout all seasons. We can always work within each client's budget and time restraints.  Designs can be a simple on-site hand sketch or a more detailed digital landscaping plan which are sometimes required for HOA or Cluster Association reviews.  Most of the time the best results occur when a rough design is initially made but design creativity is allowed during the installation process. Most plans will be emailed as a PDF file along with a plant and material example pages. In the majority of cases the initial consultation, design and estimates are free of charge.
