Garen Ceccucci • Owner/operator/designer  Born in 1974 in Reston, VA and currently residing in Sterling, VA, he is a lifelong resident of the Northern Virginia area. From an early age he had a love for nature and enjoyed playing in the woods, creeks and lakes of Reston. From his teenage years through college graduation he worked at the Reston Association as an arborist assistant, crew manager and performing general outside maintainance. In 1996 he graduated from Virginia Tech (Go Hokies!) with a Fine Arts/Graphic Design degree and worked as a graphic designer for 8 years. However, the office environment did not fulfill his love of being outdoors. In 2004 he founded DesignScapes of Virginia, LLC, a small local landscaping company. As a landscape designer, Garen enjoys incorporating his creativity and graphic design skills into the outside environment.  His designs feature plant massings based on size, color and textures with frequent usage of natural boulders and stone aggregates.  He's found that landscaping allows him to combine his love of design with the outside world. When not working he can be found traveling to intriguing places around the world, enjoying nature and the outdoors or working on various art projects.
